Q. What is “GGI”?
A. GGI, stands for “Galardi Group, Inc.”, the parent company. The “Galardi” in Galardi Group, is John Galardi, the founder of Wienerschnitzel.

Q. How much is the Franchise Fee?
A. For a limited time (through April 2011) franchise fee has been cut in half, down to $16,000, for a 20-year franchise agreement. This is a great opportunity to invest in the Wienerschnitzel brand!

Q. What is the Royalty and Advertising fee?
A. The franchise service fee (Royalty) has also been reduced by half for the first two years, to just 2.5% of sales, before going to the normal 5%. Franchisees also pay 1% of net sales for national advertising, and a minimum of 3% for local advertising.

Q. How much does it cost to open a new Wienerschnitzel Franchise?
A. If a build-to-suit arrangement with a landlord is made, the cost to open a new Wienerschnitzel can be as little as $250,000 to $350,000, most of which can be financed.

If the building is built on a ground lease, the cost to open a new Wienerschnitzel is $350,000 to $1,000,000, again most of which can be financed. If the land is to be purchased, land cost can range from $250,000 to $750,000.

Q. Is financing available for developing a new Wienerschnitzel Franchise?
A. Several commercial lenders and several SBA lenders, which have previously worked with Wienerschnitzel franchisees, are seeking lending opportunities with prospective Wienerschnitzel franchisees. A list of these lenders can be made available.

Q. What geographical areas are available?
A. Wienerschnitzel new franchise licenses are available in most areas of CA, OR, WA, AZ, NV, NM, UT, and TX. Other Western states will be considered for development, if the prospective franchisee has a market development plan approved by GGI. Other geographical areas in which Wienerschnitzel has an existing presence will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Q. How do I find a location for a new Wienerschnitzel Franchise?
A. GGI provides Site Selection Handbook, and can provide an introduction to a real estate broker familiar with the specific geographical area.

Q. Who constructs the building?
A. GGI provides a Construction Procedures Manual that outlines the process of selecting an architect and a general contractor.

Q. What experience is required for approval to become a new Wienerschnitzel Franchisee?
A. People with restaurant or retail-operations experience are preferred, but GGI will consider other professionals who have business ownership or management experience.

Q. What are the financial requirements for approval to become a new Wienerschnitzel Franchisee?
A. Prospective franchisees must have a net worth of $600,000; of which at least $250,000 must be liquid. This net worth and liquidity requirement may be met by combining the financial worth of two or more partners.

Q. What training is provided?
A. A comprehensive six week Training Program addressing all facets of running a Wienerschnitzel restaurant and operating a business is required for either the prospective franchisee or the designated General Manager.
